So you want to know who am I...

My name is Alexandr S Feoktistov. I live in Moscow, Russia. Now I'm studying at Biological faculty of Moscow State University. As you can see on the photo at right, my hobbys are biology, astronomy, 3d art and photography. I also like tourism (hitch-hiking, speleology and sailing) and movie-making.

Biology. My first biological course started in 1994, since that I like biology. Now I'm a student of the Department of Physiology of Microorganisms (was Department of Cell Physiology and Immunology) of Biological faculty. I want to be an astrobiologist and make experiments on cultivating microorganisms in the extraterristal conditions. Actualy, now I study interactions between components of cyanolichens.

Astronomy. I have been interested in astronomy since I was 5 years old, but my own telescope I bought in 1998. My main interests in astronomy are meteors, asteroids and astrophotography. I'm a member of Russian Union of Asrtonomers & Geodesists and Moscow Astroclub.

3D Art. I work on computer since 1991. And I always tryed to create some graphics. First in was ASCII-Art, then I used PaintBrush and finnaly I stopped on Photoshop and Bryce. I think that I studied them well. And now (since october 2002) I work as a 3D-artist for a magazine, called "What's new in science and technics" ("Chto novogo v nauke i tehnike"). And before it I worked for Parallaxis software on the same position.

Photograph. I bought my first professional camera in 1998 for astrophotography. But suddenly I become interested in regular photography and biological photography. I have no scanner so now I can't publish all my photos, but I'll do it later.
